bookwyrmling: Ransom in front of the demiromantic flag (hana yori dango)

As it is October 7th, and Tezuka Kunimitsu’s birthday, I’m posting up a fun little piece for him and Ryoma.  And, yes, it is a mature fic.

This is from a project I am working on called Ineffable, which is a series of post-manga one-shots about tezuryo’s future based off of the words on The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a blog started by a linguist whose goal it was to create words to describe sensations, emotions or moments for which words do not exist.

Series: Ineffable
Title: Chrysalism
Rating: M (sexual content)
Characters: Tezuka Kunimitsu, Echizen Ryoma
Pairings: Pillar Pair/TezuRyo

Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis, nor do I own the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows blog.  I do like to imagine, however, that the latter’s writer would appreciate their words finding use.  Definitions for each word have been copied directly from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows Tumblr.

chrysalism (n.) the amniotic tranquility of being indoors during a thunderstorm, listening to waves of rain pattering against the roof like an argument upstairs, whose muffled words are unintelligible but whose crackling release of built-up tension you understand perfectly. )

Figured I needed to get at least one thing posted up this month.  October will likely be the same.  A lot of what I am working on right now is all longer projects, so stuff is not getting done and ready for posting nearly as quickly as the one shots I typically write -- I can generally do two of those a week.  Good part is, once they do get rolling, I'll have something with very regular updates to start posting.  Bad part is, I'm not comfortable posting works in progress until I'm pretty close to done.  I'll try to keep at least one post a month, if not more, for the time being, though!

Title: Cab Fare
Rating: R (language and actions of a sexual nature)
Characters: Tezuka Kunimitsu, Echizen Ryoma
Pairing: Tezuka Kunimitsu, Echizen Ryoma
Note: This is a sequel to my earlier piece After Hours.

Disclaimer: I've got a whole lot of Headcanons, but that's about it.

Whether Fuji interefered or not, sometimes it was simply too late to fix a relationship. It would not be the first time Tezuka had made that mistake. )

Sometimes life gets crazy.  Sometimes life gets crazy while trying to write a fic with a deadline for an exchange.  It's been a few weeks since I posted anything, but with life settling back down again, I wanted to share the fic I finished for the tumblr Summer TeniPuri Exchange!  This was a gift for solosorca over there who was hoping for either a discworld or motorsport AU.  I didn't know much about either, but figured motorsport would be a bit on the easier side.  Hopefully my readers enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Title: MC1
Rating: G
Characters: Echizen Ryoma, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Seigaku Regulars

Disclaimer: Characters not mine, but you betcha I had fun with this universe.

A co-driver was a requirement in a rally, not a recommendation, which meant, as useless as Echizen found much of Momoshiro’s shouting to be, he had to deal with it. With no one able to get a hold of Momoshiro, however, how else is Echizen to fill the two-person requirement? )

I got the idea for this, believe it or not, from the song Black Velvet.

Title: Consecration

Rating: G

Characters: Echizen Ryoma, Tezuka Kunimitsu

Disclaimer: Still saving up the yen.  I mean, a girl can dream, right?

To Tezuka Kunimitsu and Echizen Ryoma, tennis is a religion. )

Because I am a BIG science nerd...and reading about binary stars -- and binary planets -- made me think of TeniPuri and double geek.  Admittedly, my degrees are in Biology and Chemistry, not Astrophysics, so please forgive me if I get a bit of the following wrong.  I mostly just read through a bunch of Wikipedia pages to get the basics in order to fuel the muse.

Characters: Fuji Syuusuke, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Echizen Ryoma

Disclaimer: If I owned it, would I really be writing fanfiction?

Fuji finds tennis makes science a bit more enjoyable. )

So I know the big crossover between Tenipuri and Kuroshitsuji is to cross Ryoma with Ciel, but, well, I wanted to switch things up.  In my opinion, it’s not too far a leap considering Ryoma’s a little devil, anyway, and seems happy to corrupt others.  Had to keep this superficial, though, otherwise we’d start getting into the Two-Ciels theory.  Hopefully it turned out okay all the same.

Title: Contract
Rating: PG
Characters: Tezuka Kunimitsu, Echizen Ryoma
Notes: Kuroshitsuji AU

Disclaimer: I own neither Prince of Tennis nor Kuroshitsuji.

Kunimitsu did not care who helped him escape the fear and agony his captors had thrown him in to. So long as they suffered and died, he would even forge a contract with the very demon the adults had been attempting to summon through his sacrifice. )

Limitless

Alright, so after being challenged to write an introspective Fuji character study, I decided to give this a shot.  I generally try to avoid writing Fuji (unless he’s matchmaking Tezuka and Echizen or otherwise causing chaos for kicks and giggles), as he’s definitely not an easy opponent.  I feel like, even in canon, Konomi-sensei never quite shows us who Fuji is, not even in his battle with Shiraishi where he supposedly got serious...possibly because he isn’t fully sure on how it looks, either.  Or, possibly because, like how I see it, trying to pin Fuji down is like trying to measure both an electron’s position and velocity at the same time (in other words, impossible).  There’s a reason Inui says his data on Fuji is never complete and there’s a reason Mizuki is sent running around the court like a complete novice by him when he thinks he does have an exhaustive resource.  Trying to break into the tensai’s brain to see how he ticks is both terrifying and exhausting.  But, well, here goes…

Title: Limitless
Rating: G
Character: Fuji Syusuke

Disclaimer: I own nothing.  NOTHING you hear me?  *sobs in sadness*

Inui claims that Fuji’s talent is limitless. Syusuke wonders if limitless is the most appropriate word choice. )

I think I can officially say my TeniPuri obsession has returned.

Anyway, I adore Tezuka, but I feel like sometimes readers forget he (and other players) are really just kids still in middle school.  We put these strong ideals, especially, behind his actions, but fail to realize that, sometimes, kids are going to be kids and do things just because they can or just because they want to.  It adds, in my opinion, a lot more depth to Tezuka's character, which is generally criticized as being quite one dimensional (Toast-buchou, I remember being used as a descriptor before).  Not to mention it explains why Tezuka is so frequently willing to risk his arm and tennis despite plans to go pro (which he openly admits to Oishi during the Nationals).

Anyway, enough of my prattling.  Let's move on to the study!

Title: Fourteen
Rating: G

It is hard for most people to remember that Tezuka Kunimitsu is a fourteen year old kid. Tezuka Kunimitsu, on the other hand, finds it impossible to forget. )

Disclaimer: Prince of Tennis and associated characters belong to Konomi Takeshi, as original creator. He just happens to make a fun sandbox to play in.

Echizen had never texted or called Tezuka before. Tezuka, therefore, probably should have been more wary when his name popped up on his phone's screen. )

You know, if I've learned one thing about myself over the years, it is that I have an obsessive personality.  When I find something I like, I can become way too wrapped up in it and spend all my free time focusing on that one thing.

If I've learned another thing about myself over the years, it is that I have a flighty temperament.  No matter how obsessed I can be with something, no matter how much pleasure or enjoyment I take out of it, when I find something else I jump ship to my new obsession almost instantly and feel no regret over what I left behind.

Sometimes I circle back around to the previous obsessions.

Sometimes I do not.

I've learned this last week that, apparently, TeniPuri is something that catches and pulls me back hard.

It must be the Tezuka Zone.

And the fact that, with a knee about as healed as it will ever get, I've picked up tennis again -- or, well, training to get back in shape for it, at least.

And the fact that Wimbledon is going on right now. *waves a Federer flag*

This isn't the first time this fandom has done this.  Back in college I went through TeniPuri phases two or three times.  Once again after I graduated, but it's been years since I'd really thought about it.  I started rewatching the anime three weeks ago.  The fanfiction plot bunnies -- of which I hadn't had a single one for YEARS -- have been bouncing around in my head ever since.  I tried fighting them off, at first, as I do plenty of other writing elsewhere, now, and really should be focusing on that, but all it did was kill my muse for anything else, as well.

So might as well stop fighting it, I figure.

Which means, for the time-being, I'm back and writing.  Not sure how long this will last, but I'm going to enjoy it for the time-being.  Hopefully any readers I have enjoy it, as well.

Well, I've been gone from here long enough, it seems, but it's time for me to pick this back up.  Once again, this LJ will be for fanfiction purposes.  Right now, most of that will probably be for the [livejournal.com profile] hundred_wishes Challenge community.  I'm already excited to hop on the ball for this site! ^^

Disclaimer: I do not own any characters mentioned in this story. Prince of Tennis storyline and characters belongs to Takeshi Konomi.

Notes: This story is based off of the anime, not the manga. Post-US Open. Pillar pair, pre-relationship. Matchmaker!Fuji (kinda). Oneshot.

He blamed it completely on his last trip to America. There was simply no other explanation for what had happened. Echizen has reached a new stage in life, but something is not right. He probably could have handled all the teasing if it was. )

The Final Match

Note: So this is an older fic I wrote and is actually my first PoT fic.  Before PoT I hadn't gotten into boy/boy pairings, but then my roommate innocently introduced her tennis and anime/manga-loving friend to this universe and BAM!  I couldn't help but see the amazing tension and connections between the stoic buchou and the catty protege.  How could anyone not?!  Anyway, as this was my first foray into writing for the PoT fandom and I was already very interested in the amazingness of TezuRyo love but had never written boy/boy before, I tried slipping little nuggets here and there into it.  It's not slash or anything...if you have to categorize it, it'd probably be gen...it just carries undertones, like the manga because Konomi-sensei must know what female fans are going to think when Ryoma just looks up with his sparkly golden eyes and says "Buchou" in that sexy bedroom voice of his.

Anyway, this fic does follow along with the last few chapters of the manga (word for word in dialogue, actually) as this was mainly written to offset the utter emptiness I felt at the end of it.  If you haven't read the end of the manga yet, or don't know and don't want to know what happens, then don't read this because SERIES SPOILERS ABOUND although how anyone could not see at least most of it coming, I have no clue.

Alright, let's see if I can't figure this lj-cut thing out...

Disclaimer: Prince of Tennis and its characters belong to their creator, Takeshi Konomi. In fact, the dialogue is not even mine. I just put spins on some of the actions and thoughts.

So after Google brings me to all the amazing fanfiction communities and writers on here, I have finally crumbled under the absolute ficcage overload and gotten a livejournal.  I hope to post on here often, although I'm not sure how often that will actually be...anyway, off to figure out how this whole site works. ^-^

I'll start posting at some point.  I only have a few fics that I believe are worthy of posting here and that might just be because right now I only have one pairing in my mind: yummy pillar pair <3 *wipes drool from face*.

By the way, I blame and thank the giving in to livejournal calling my name on my 100 degree fever I have at this very moment.
